I've stumbled upon a few websites that claim to "pay" you to complete online consumer surveys. Some of them ask for money up front before giving away details. Has anyone tried this and are they a rip off ?
Does anyone know if online "paid" survey sites are for real ?
I am actually a member of a couple of survey sites that are legit, and I have been paid by them. Not tons of money but I've made as much as $15.00 for one survey. There are a bunch that are not. All of the ones that are not legit will ask for money up front, do not sign up for those. Then there are some that only pay you if you complete offers. The offers almost always cost you money, like they want you to join Netflix or something like that. Reply:Be careful. I filled out one of those questionnaires a couple weeks ago and now every day I have like 75 bulk email messages from different companies that I have to take the time to delete. The things they send me were the boxes I didn't check meaning I wasn't interested, but they ciontinue to send massive emails.

They are by invite only or by clicking on their rare advertising banners. There are forums on the web that specialise in telling people where their banners can be found.
It may take you a day or two to find an active banner of theirs but the rewards are worthwhile.
Sometimes you get free samples through the post to test and try before they hit the shops.
Reply:well there are paid survey sites. but there are alot of them out there that are scams also. and if they ask u money first thats totally scam. the sites that i know are paying sometimes they send u samples if you qualify age wise or what ever they are looking for as qualification and when u test it. and answer survey they send u a check. like i tested a lotion and i was paid 15$ and for cosmetics i was paid 25$ . there are some sites that ask u to do surveys and your points build up and when you reach certain points then you get a check. and how fast your points build up or if you get paid totally depends on the questions you answer and how you answer them.

in the last 3 months iv'e recieved 15pounds in boots vouchers and you can choose which vouchers you'd like each time.
if youre still after a cash incentive then try ciao, ive been registered with them for 3 months and recvd nearly 20pounds which i got them to put into a sainsburys online account i opened specifically for transferring payments
that way youre not handing over youre usual bank details,or any cash in advance and you'll get a statement to prove its been recvd

Is there really a website where I can get paid to take surveys without a registration fee?
I'm a student and I need some extra cash. I'd really like to take paid surveys, but it seems that anywhere I go there's either a fee associated, or its just a bunch of "just do this and then we'll send you your paid survey" and it never happens.

I have been involved with these survey companies for about a year and it takes a long time to earn enough money to make any kind of difference.
Some companies give you points and when you earn enough points you can get a check sent to you i.e. each survey taken earns you 5-50 points... it takes 1,000 points to get $10... the lowest amount of money they bother to send.
One survey company sends me test cigarettes and then sends or calls with a survey- I get a $10 check a couple weeks after completing the survey.
Then there's the problem of when you get an invite (delivered through your email) you don't always qualify to take a survey as they are looking for a certain demographic.
Also, surveys that ask what deal you want to participate in and offer a list of products and services with checkboxes are phoney survey companies. A legitimate one will never ask you to complete an "offer"--they will only collect info- not try to get you to buy something. So be aware of those.
There is no quick or easy money to be had with survey companies. While they can be fun... they are not very lucrative.
The only reason I joined was because it gives me something to do at work.... lots of down time.
Now I'm on Answers all the time and I have a bunch of surveys that I have to take but can't get off here!

The other snag is that very often you get paid in 'points' which are sometimes redeemable for cash but most often redeemable for selected goods and services. Also, it takes a while before they begin sending you many surveys - they need to know your reputability and reliability in answering surveys and they also need a quite detailed demographic profile from you initially.
If you are prepared to jump through their hoops, though, and fit the kind of audience they need to be answering their surveys, it can be a reasonable little side earner.

My tip for making a good income is to join 3 or 4 survey sites, visit the home page regularly and putting in the time and effort..I spend about an hour a night (my free time) doing these surveys and I do make a good income! To try to be more helpful, I will post a link that I found from a previous answer! Of course, just don't expect to be a millionaire overnight!

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

What is the deal with Get Paid To sites? ie Paid to Read, Click or Survey.?
I have seen several GPT sites (Get Paid To) lately. GPT Read, GPT Click, GPT Survey. If they actually come thru and pay you is it all legit?
Has anyone had any luck with these sites??
What about taxes?? They do not give 1099s.
What is the deal with Get Paid To sites? ie Paid to Read, Click or Survey.?
If they are legit and US based, they must ask for your social security number when you sign up because by law, yes, they must send out 1099. However, if you don't make enough to generate the 1099, then you are not going to get one.
Which brings me to another thought... when I sit here and read all these answers of people who have two-three-four different affiliate company links on them as recomendations, that makes me wonder.... if that person is making so much money, why do they have to join so many affiliates? And then - how on earth does that person have that much time to spend going from one program to another trying to make that money? One thing to think about also.... when you join, they receive benefit... that's pretty standard.
I recently wrote a blog, the link can be found in the second paragraph of my profile here... giving advice for people wanting to create additional income from home.... It's not a sales pitch and is all generic information. Before you go spend countless hours reading, clicking, for $.085-$20, you might want to read it as food for thought.

Reply:I have searched the web for the last 4 yrs for the same kind of sites. Havent found one that is truly legit. Be careful.... usually you have to sign up for other sites in order to get paid for the site you are on. Causes LOTS of junk mail...... beware and good luck :)

Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota. I am pleased with these sites and looking to join some new ones.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other websites are listed there as well. Good luck!

Additionally many of the adult panels also have questions for the children of panelists to complete, so if you can persuade a parent to join, they then simply pass the surveys over to you when they come in. My 11 year old son gets regular surveys to complete this way.

I personally use 3 of them. All 3 of them are legit. I use 3 because they don't pay you a whole lot. Most of them range from $4-$50 for each survey. You won't get a whole lot of the 50 dollar ones...Note that you won't receive a survey everyday. You only receive one when ever your survey is right for you (You fill out a background screening for each website so they know what surveys to give you).
So your probably not going to get rich off of them but you can't really complain about a little extra cash in the pocket.

You won't get rich but they definitely help with bills :)

The site that I use doesn't require you to pay for anything it just requires you to get to the end of the survey by just skipping through everything and saying no to the offers. Paying for anything is completely optional. I found 13 real legitimate paid survey companies in canada from surveyclub.com and I just don't know if I would pay taxes to the canadian or american government at the end of the year if I got involved with filling them out regularily on the internet. Help!!!!!

I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these three. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota. I am pleased with these sites and looking to join some new ones.

i would like to know your real experience with these supposedly paid surveys.sounds too good to be true and most times they want your email for spam.a couple of weeks ago i've decided to try some survey websites and so far i've almost never been qualified to finish the survey.

all require address, but I review some survey sites to that pay through paypal at http://cashtutor.blogspot.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public's opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real job's salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.

Reply:I'm sure some of the sites are scams, but both yougov and testandvote are genuine. With yougov, they send a cheque when your account reaches £50 (I think). testandvote allows you to exchange your points for Amazon vouchers. I am a member of both, and know that they don't charge any fees.

I did find one site that lets you do both surveys and offers and get paid for doing them for free. It's called cashcrate. I found it while researching similar at home business opportunities (I'm kinda strapped for cash too ^^')
I started a month ago and hopefully I'll be receiving my check soon (I earned about 10 dollars, which isn't so bad considering I only did the free offers 'cause I was kinda skeptical)

Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Reply:I used to use Valued Opinions and I found them to be pretty good - used to earn vouchers which came in handy when I was a student and, to be honest, it only took about 5 mins for each survey.
I certainly never had to pay anything myself and received my vouchers through the post.

What are the best Paid Survey sites?
I've done some research on Paid Survey sites on the internet, but I'd like your opinion on what are the best one's. They must be good in the Netherlands because some sites are for U.S. residents only. I don't want to do any where you have to pay $39.99 or something first. I joined surveysavvy.com and they look good on paper, but they haven't sent me any surveys to do yet. Does anyone use this particular site, and what do you think of it?

While I've never heard of "Greenfield Online Paid Survey Company," I'd try to stay away from "work from home" survey jobs.
While there IS money to be made from home, typing or surveys are not the best way to go.
The best way to go is to start your own business!
When I say that, I mean there are really a number of ways to make money online.
Here are just a few of them:
1. Make a website or blog on a topic that you know about.
Then, you sign up to AdSense and other PPC content sharers, and you make money when people click on your links.
2. Sell an actual product
You can still make money by selling advertising space, but this way, you make money by selling a product.
3. Sell a digital downloadable product.
Like an eBook or some other type of digital product. This way, you don't have to deal with postage or anything like that. It's like an online vending machine!
It's really easy to set up websites like these. In fact, you can buy a website on eBay for very very little time or money, and start making money within a week or two of marketing your website!

Where can i go to get paid for doing survey's online?
i joined so many different survey sites and all of them seem to want you to complete offers or pay for at least something in order for them to give you any points (which you can later turn into cash or redeem it for prizes). I was just wondering if anyone knows of any site that is out there that all you do is take survey's and get paid to do it!?!? Never join any sites that require a sign up fee as they are almost always scams.
I have been taking paid surveys for nearly a year now, it takes me around 10 minutes every second day, and I make about $80 - $100 a month which isn't bad for the amount of time it takes me.
My favourite sites are: Nielson Net Ratings, NPD, Ipsos and Cashcrate.

When creating your profile---keep your interests very broad and open so you can be selected for more surveys. And also I recommend setting up a new e-mail address. Most importantly Never, ever give out your credit card information or ssn information. Likely you understand this; it’s just that sometimes company’s can be very tricky and their offers really temping. As a personal note I actually work in customer care for a credit card company and I have unfortunately seen way too many times where company’s offering free trials will continue to bill people for months. Which is a headache for all involved. (Accept lol for the sneaky company)

Reply:Hi, the ones want you to complete offers or pay are NOT paid surveys. Those are paid offer sites. Real legitimate paid surveys are always FREE to do, legit market research and paid survey companies pay YOU for YOUR opinion.

The fact is that there are so many survey sites in internet who actually charges a registration fee. I tell you what, run as far as you can, if they ask you money to join their survey site. Any legimate survey site, will not ask you money to join them%26lt;!--They actually have to pay us if we join them. Reply:This site is completely free. You can do as many or as little surveys as you like and they are 100% legit. I have used them for some time now. There are also insider discounts on things you probaly already buy. You are not going to get rich, but it will put some extra money in your pocket.

Reply:I made a yahoo page showing the ones that have paid me. One that is not listed on there though and I am too lazy to figure out how to edit my webpage, is Baker St. Solutions. (just type the name in Google, I think its the second link that comes up) They pay by Amazon gift certificates. I usually recieve around 2 surveys a month from them. Reply:Although many of the survey sites are scams, their are still plenty of them that are legit.
Never join any sites that require a sign up fee as they are almost always scams.
I have been taking paid surveys for nearly a year now, it takes me around 10 minutes every second day, and I make about $80 - $100 a month which isn't bad for the amount of time it takes me.
My favourite sites are: Nielson Net Ratings, NPD, Ipsos and Cashcrate.
