Are the paid to take survey sites that charge legit?

I have seen alot of the paid to take survey sites where you have to pay to get the links. Are they sincerely legit? Do they have links to sites and surveys that I would not get from doing web searches? Has anyone signed up for these and if so please tell me your experiences!

Are the paid to take survey sites that charge legit?
The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Reply:I was sent this like last year and I use it a lot for a most of my shopping coupons and my family and friends want to play new games and stuff, so I use this link. With most internet advertiser's there is always someone who spies on what you are viewing, sad but no one in authority has made their actions criminal so in our free world we still have this type of spies free to invade our personal space.

So, not only do you get PAID to read these advertisements but you also have access to the HOTTEST website offers and discounts on the web since our advertisers are more likely to advertise here than any other websites on the web!!

Reply:I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or recieved other rewards like gift cards or CDS) on the following, if you are interested:

I'm sure you can find them on google too, but I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc--which might be helpful to you.

There are others out there. Be careful though, there are also scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Watch out for sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties.

Also just recently came across a good survey ratings site that I've found very helpful:
